MVC Framework versus WCSF's MVP

Last Friday, I gave a talk on the P&P software factories at the December edition of the Software Developers Event in Ede. As can be expected from an enthusiastic audience, somebody asked me about the comparison/positioning of the Web Client Guidance Bundle's Model in relation to the new MVC Framework.

In response to that, check out the somewhat older announcement made by Glenn Block, product manager for the factory over here. For a comparison between the two patterns, check out these two excellent posts: The ASP.NET MVC framework, using the WCSF as a yardstick! and Interactive Application Architecture Patterns.

Na je sessie op de SDC ben ik naar de standaard architectuur van MS wezen kijken. Die was wat verouderd en toen heb ik dit mailtje verstuurd:

Application Architecture for .NET: Designing Applications and Services is a great article.
The artice is from December 2002 and uses NET Framework Version 1.0
Since then a lot of new microsoft technologies have come out and their specific properties may have an impact on the architecture.

Will there be an update of this artice for .NET 3.0/3.5 or is it too early to give guidance on using things like WCF and WF with this architecture?

en dit was de reacktie:

Yes, a new release of this content is planned for Spring 2008.

en blijkbaar is iemand wakker geworden want dit kwam er achteraan:

Here is the upcoming release roadmap:

Mischien moet je maar eens even met ze mailen.
